The Board met this week to finalise the distribution of funds from our charity and coin accounts. The amount available from both amounted to $27,000 which is ,for a club of our size, is a fantastic effort by all.

The Seniors Lunch is to be held at the Asquith Golf Club on Sunday 27th  May and arrangements are well in hand with over 50 guests coming along. The attendees are to be entertained by Lyn Sell on piano and Margaret Owens and her singing group. We are still looking for additional helpers on the day from 11.30am. If you are able to assist please advise Lawrie on Monday night of your availability.

I note that the local PCYC are to hold their 75th Anniversary Family Bush Dance at the PCYC Performing Arts Centre (the old Hornsby Bowling Club) 22 Waitara Ave Waitara on Saturday 26th  May from 7.30pm. Mick Gallagher and the Bush Rockers will be providing the entertainment on the night. The cost of the evening is a very modest $15.00 per head which included a light supper. Tickets are available by phoning 9477 2310.

District Changeover is being held on Friday 29th June at Hornsby RSL. The cost of the evening will be $50.00 per head which includes a 2 course dinner and wine on the table. You  can book at www.rotarydistrict9680.org

The plans for our changeover are well in hand with Louise looking after the organisation. It will be a 3 course dinner with entertainment. More will be revealed later but at this stage keep the night free  -  Saturday 7th July 2012.

This Sunday is the Red Shield Appeal with all our helpers meeting  at 9.00am at the Salvation Army headquarters, 29 Burdett St Hornsby. When our tasks for the day has been completed there will be a BBQ at Bobby and Maddie's home. If you are attending the afters please contact him directly to know of your attendance for catering purposes.
